I am sure you all have seen the ads for the handicapper’s that claim to have inside team information and “The 5 Star Lock of the Year”.You’ll be able to learn numerous ads for these services in the games page of some tabloid, or on the internet.
They take advantage of naïve people looking for quick cash. Ordinarily these “experts” boast an incredible and unbelievable winning percentage of something like 80 percent.
Among the sports betting public there is a cancer known as scamdicappers. These people don’t care about earning money for their customers. In actuality it is an uncomplicated con, and due to the potentially limitless pool of customers, they may keep on profiting indefinitely.
Naive gamblers will always be around. Some people are at rock bottom; others just want to make it huge. Gamblers at the end of their rope will call up these people, hoping for a free pick and a jackpot. At the end of the call, the gambler has wired money through Western Union for a “sure-fire” pick package. To add insult to injury, the con artists don’t even place money down on what they recommend. As I stated before, their picks have no value, but they make money selling them.
The scam is very simple. The fake handicapper simply tells each of his callers to wager on different teams. Callers that accidentally win will call to buy more expensive post
One example would be that four separate people try to call a handicap benefit the day the Patriots/Dolphins and the 49’ers/Chargers games are life offered to chance on. Once they get the caller’s complete relevant details the benefit informs the first caller of the days picks, the New England and San Francisco teams. They tell the second caller to bet on the Dolphins and Seahawks. Caller 3 is told to bet on the Jets and Seahawks ; Caller 4 is told the picks are the Bills and 49’ers.
As is apparent, a single caller will proceed with 2-0. Chances are that this caller is going to be manipulated into spending a lot of money on a pick package. Two others go 1-1 and only need to pay juice. These two callers might be there persuaded to provide the benefit one more option. One extra free pick is given for those who place themselves back in the lottery for the lucky pick, and a follow-up picks package. The closing caller loses each wager as well as a lot of money, most likely, to a bookie or internet sportsbook firm.
You can know how they profit through this scam, if you multiply these callers by hundreds or more weekly. If once you already got the winning picks, it is highly unlikely that you will continue receiving the winning picks in future. Eventually you lose any money you might have won with the lucky picks and ordinarily end up in a larger hole than before you made that fateful call. It’s simple to quit the benefit after you’ve been scammed. Unfortunately by then it’s too late.
